The Safdarjung Observatory in New Delhi, recorded 24.6 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours. As heavy rains torment the national capital and parts of Gurugram, waterlogging and roadblocks brings the cities and their residents to a standstill.
The official twitter account of New Delhi Traffic Police started sending out alerts and information about waterlogged roads so that citizens can take precautions accordingly.
In one of such tweets, a video was shared which shows a bus stuck on a waterlogged road at Ring Road near Hanuman Mandir in the Yamuna Bazar area.
A cop is seen standing in knee-deep waters, helping the occupants of the bus, including a differently-abled man to get to dry land safely. The video is aptly titled “Extending a helping hand whenever you need us”. The heartwarming videos has touched a chord with netizens.

Officials of the Delhi Police are on their toes, not because of the water, but to keep the roads under control. In this video posted by a Delhi resident, you can see cops topple and fall into the water and slowly regain their balance, while they continue to regulate traffic.
